Settlement Engagement and Transition Support

In the beginning of 2019, AAHYA secured funding from the Department of Social Services for their SETS Program, now currently provided through the Department of Home Affairs. Working with newly arrived migrants and refugees, AAHYA has been able to provide a range of services, in partnership with other services, to help them in their settlement journeys. This includes learning English, driving and road safety programs, mental health support, advocacy, reducing social isolation, employment assistance and referral services.

We have bilingual workers who speak Urdu, Hazaragi, Dari and Persian, who are able to provide document assistance for any housing, Centrelink and immigration related matters.
